TOTO has implement measures to reduce water consumption such as water-saving activities and increasing its use of recycled water at each of business sites. At Headquarters and the Kokura No. 1 Plant, we use a water reuse system (reverse osmosis water treatment unit) to treat wastewater that is generated during the production process and to use it again in production. At other plants too, we use onsite wastewater treatment facilities to process wastewater that is generated during production, and reuse some of this water in the production process or to flush toilets. In Japan, we are also continuing to replace our toilets at all companies with water-saving toilets (4.8L).
